I never really thought about best friends at all. It’s just tumblr and the lovely photos people re-blog. It all has to do with friendship. It made me realize how bad I miss having someone to call up and just talk about anything. I’m eighteen years old & I only had two best friends I never forgot. The first time I ever had a best friend I was only in the third grade. The last was when I was in the eighth grade. I honestly miss what they used to be. — My best friend. ★
Let’s call my third grade best friend “A”.
She was a very good person. Show ▼
We were so close. I remember when we both got into an argument at school and the people who hung out with us had to pick which side they would hang out with. Half went to “A” and the other Half was with me. It was so funny though because in the end we both cried. I missed her so much even though our friendship breakup was only during lunch. Haha. We made up when we went back to class. Unfortunately, A few months after that she transferred out of my school for the rest of third grade and I missed her so much. She finished off at the her new school and then came back for fourth grade. We weren’t in the same class. We didn’t hang out together, but we were still great friends. We would hug each-other when we pass by in hallways. She was great. We lived close to a gym so we would go there after school. She was in a dance group. I wanted to join in with her so she taught me how to do the dance. They danced to the song “Baby Got Back – Sir Mix-A-Lot”. It was fun while it lasted. Half of fourth grade year went by and she moved again to a new school this time farther. I never saw her until I was in seventh grade. It was at a local parade and I was walking around with my cousin. She was with her boyfriend. I looked at her and she never changed. Still the same “A”. Pretty and Fun. We talked for a while until the local concert started. She was with her boyfriend dancing and I just kept staring at her. I was so sad when I went home. Another year went so quickly and I was 8th grade. I had internet so I searched her on Myspace. She told me she still considers me one of her close friends until now. The last time I saw her I didn’t recognize her good. We were at a seminar. She was with her boyfriend and I was with mine. We are both eighteen. I never talked to her that night because I wasn’t sure if it was her. I was also afraid she might not remember me so I avoided looking at her. I went home later that night and messaged her and it turns out that was her. She told me that she wanted to say something but she wasn’t sure if it was me. I was so happy to hear she didn’t forget about me. We both still communicate.
Let’s call my eighth grade best friend “V”. She is great friend. Show ▼
I met her during my first half of eighth grade at my new school and we started hanging out. Everyday I would buy us some food for lunch and then go pick her up at her house so we can go to school. She was a great friend in school. We got so close. I invited her for Christmas at my house. It was the best Christmas ever. Me, Her & Her Cousin were Santa’s Helpers (My Cousin was Santa). We made his beard out of cardboard. We gathered all of the presents and we went to the fire station. My Nino had one of his friends drive the fire truck to our house with the sirens on. It was great. Everyone came out of the house. It was the best time we had together. It was the best Christmas I can remember. A few days after Christmas my mom told me that we are moving to a new house. I didn’t wanna move because I loved my new school. I had no choice though. We moved. Me & “V” talked but it wasn’t a lot. She is the reason I am with my current boyfriend. She introduced us. She is now at the states. We hardly ever talk. She is a very different person.
